To Whom It May Concern:

Spanish for Financial Professionals was an excellent experience for SunTrust Bank employees because we strive to reduce barriers that can affect our communication with existing or potential clients.

Hablemos gave us the opportunity to reach out to the Hispanic community and offer SunTrust banking services to Spanish speaking clients on a basic level.

The teaching style of Ed Gumucio was relaxed and took into consideration the level of exposure each of us had in Spanish. The classroom was comfortable and the curriculum focused on our industry. He began by teaching the alphabet and giving us the fundamental skills necessary to sound out most words. We also learned how to ask for identification, employment information and use other significant banking terms.

The class made us more at ease and confident in our ability to communicate. Equally as important, was the sharing of customs that raised our awareness and appreciation for other cultures.
